Wintertime, and the Living is Easy — In Senior Independent Living Apartments
What’s better than a hot cup of tea, coffee or cocoa while looking out the window as snow drifts down from the sky? Watching somebody else shovel the sidewalks while you are snug and warm inside. Ecumenical’s senior independent living apartments offer older adults independent living, with all the comfort and safety that come with being part of a senior care community.
Have an Enjoyable and Successful Visit with Loved Ones Who are in Residential Alzheimer’s Care
Visiting a loved one who is in a residential dementia, memory, or Alzheimer’s care support program can be really difficult. Your loved one is and yet is not the person they always were. It’s like looking through a stained-glass window instead of a clear glass window. What’s on the other side is exactly the same, but viewed through stained glass the colors, contrasts and clarity are very different. But it’s still beautiful.
Evaluating Senior Living Communities: Guiding Your Choice
One of the most effective ways to assess retirement communities is by comparing reviews and pulling out key factors that should be considered when making this decision. Understanding the particulars can help ensure a community meets your loved ones’ current needs and will continue to support them as they age.

Finding Affordable Senior Housing for Rent
Finding affordable senior housing for rent isn’t easy. An affordable housing crisis, combined with a growing number of older adults struggling with mortgage debt on a fixed income, has led to millions of seniors overburdened by the cost of housing. For many seniors, the issue is exacerbated by declining health issues that will likely require additional services and care in the future, if not already. Healthy and active seniors seeking affordable housing options for independent living have a few options, including:

Meet our furry, four-legged co-worker, Lola Bunny.
My name is Lola Bunny, named after the Looney Toons character. I am a Flemish Giant Hare. I am three years old and weigh about 20lbs. I am larger than the pet rabbits people are used to seeing. When I first arrived to campus, my standard rabbit cage was a bit too small so one of my co-workers on the maintenance team built me my own custom rabbit cage. It’s big enough for me to have my little house and blanket and hop around in. I love it!
