CEO & President, Meredith Mills, named to National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Board of Directors

HERSHEY, Pa. (October 24, 2024) — Ecumenical Retirement Community and Country Meadows Retirement Communities Chief Executive Officer Meredith Mills has been elected as an At-large Representative on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL). Mills has worked in the long-term care industry for 13 years and is the third generation to manage the family-owned company. She joins leaders from assisted living communities across the country working toward the shared goal of increasing advocacy efforts, strengthening education and providing the highest quality of care to residents.

“It is an honor to represent Pennsylvania and the next generation of our industry’s leaders,” said Mills. “Our family has been committed to high-quality care in senior living for more than six decades. I want to ensure that in the future seniors will continue to have access to quality and choice in their living options and qualified compassionate caregivers to serve them.”

As a member of the NCAL Board, Mills sees opportunity for senior living to prove its under-recognized yet essential support in the post-acute care continuum and would like to work toward reimbursement for the care coordination and outcomes that are created for Medicare savings. Additionally, she hopes to help position the industry to be seen as a meaningful and desired career option.

Mills also serves on boards of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, Providence Place Senior Living and Lifesong Hospice and Palliative Care. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College and a master’s degree in Health Policy and Administration at Penn State University.
