Viva la Fiesta! Cinco de Mayo celebrates culture, community and connection

Ecumenical Retirement Community is a place where residents come together to celebrate life, friendship and culture. This month, Cinco de Mayo, a festive Mexican holiday, presented a wonderful opportunity for residents to immerse themselves in delicious food and gather for fun activities.

Residents in our Culinary Crew prepared for the festivities by gathering to make homemade churro chips. Taste testing ensured that the sweet treat fit with the cultural celebration.

When the fun holiday arrived, residents and co-workers gathered their sombreros and maracas, cued the mariachi music, embraced cultural diversity and enjoyed a delicious fiesta!
