Ecumenical Retirement Community Recognized as Best Independent Senior Living for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report
Harrisburg, Pa. (April 28, 2025) – Ecumenical Retirement Community, a not-for-profit retirement community in Harrisburg, Pa., has been named among the Best Independent Senior Living establishments in the country for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. To identify the “best” rankings, U.S. News & World Report analyzed resident and family surveys from more than 3,800 senior living communities nationwide to identify the 1,900 communities that are excelling in areas of resident care and experience.
“Residents and their families trust us to care for them or their loved one, and we are honored to be a community where residents feel safe, valued and supported,” said Meredith Mills, President and CEO of Ecumenical. “Receiving this distinction is meaningful because we get to hear directly from our customers’ experiences as they acknowledge our compassionate co-workers, vibrant community and quality care that residents and their families deserve.”
U.S. News & World Report has been evaluating the Best Senior Living category since 2022, but this is only the second year that Ecumenical participated in the national survey to be eligible for consideration. Ecumenical was awarded for the Independent Living category both years.
